“There are a hundred things she has tried to chase away the things she won't remember and that she can't even let herself think about because that's when the birds scream and the worms crawl and somewhere in her mind it's always raining a slow and endless drizzle.

You will hear that she has left the country, that there was a gift she wanted you to have, but it is lost before it reaches you. Late one night the telephone will sign, and a voice that might be hers will say something that you cannot interpret before the connection crackles and is broken.

Several years later, from a taxi, you will see someone in a doorway who looks like her, but she will be gone by the time you persuade the driver to stop. You will never see her again.

Whenever it rains you will think of her. ”

Foreword is a collective of talented undergraduate photography students from the BA Hon(s) degree programme at the Plymouth College of Art. In June 2014 our studies will culminate in the exhibition of our work at the prestigious Free Range event in London, where photographic students from around the country have the opportunity to showcase their work. As a collective we have been tasked with raising money to fund this event and have a fundraising target of £6000. We hope that you will be able to support us in our endeavour.

Our first fundraising event is our Photographic Print Auction, as a year group we were each assigned a role, I was the one who made the catalogue displaying all the lots with images and info, I am also the hostess for the evening. Please see the link below for the catalogue:

“At night I dream that you and I are two plants
that grew together, roots entwined,
and that you know the earth and the rain like my mouth,
since we are made of earth and rain.”

Nokia 300My latest project is looking at self documentation and intimate photography and its output and display on the internet and looking at how we share imagery with others. I've been looking at polaroids, instax, 35mm and various other photographic mediums. My latest experimentation has been with my Nokia Asha 300 which has a built in 5MP camera, so not as fancy as an iphone, but I'm working with what I have and I'm not just going to buy an iphone purely for the photographic capabilities. I am also not too great at touch screen typing and am trying to master it on my boyfriend's iphone although I usually just speak to that Siri thing to type it for me!
But anyways, here are the pictures I have taken so far - I seem to be taking them at night, not a conscious decision at first but I think I see more interesting lighting at night and I do most of my walking from place to place in the dark.
